Loads of progress

Decided to update this thing less but add more to the posts.

Painted the petrol tank straps, anti-roll bar and u-bolts reflex silver:

Found more holes on the drivers side:

Started work on the panels around the near side rear arch:

Finally, today, despite the rain, managed to get the underneath of the back end finished and schultz'ed:

Also got the leaf springs bolted back on the rear axle (with new break pipes) and bolted the whole thing back on to the car.

Next on the list is to start sorting out the front end, which should be a lot easier and quicker as most of the welding needs doing on top, not underneath.

Will update again when more progress is made.

More stuff painted.

Got some more things painted Wednesday, ready to get bolted back on once the rear chassis is repaired and everything is under sealed.

Also got the passenger side underneath repaired, including a hole in the boot and the chassis rails:

The rear axle is stripped down and painted (and nothing sheared).

Keep forgetting to update this thing, but not a lot has happened so it's not really a problem.

First off I got some new bits from the Capri Club: strut top panels, rear chassis repair sections, and rear bumper brackets.

I finished off the floor welding, so all that's left to weld, is the bits outside the car.

Also this weekend, I stripped the rear axle down, degreased, wire brushed, primed and painted it gloss black.

 More to come soon.

Hmmmm interesting...

So this weekend we've taken the petrol tank off, dropped the rear suspension/running gear and also done a bit of welding.
We've also melted in the process because it has been boiiiiling...

Taken the wings off:

 Floor pan welding:

Rear quarter (offside):

The worst affected area, where the leaf spring bracket has collapsed through the chassis. Shouldn't be too hard to fix:

Rear running gear, needs cleaning up and painting....thinking either just black, or red for the axle and prop shaft, ford blue for the shockers and the springs back to black:

How she is at the moment:

Overall not too bad. Gonna try and get all the rear end welded up and under-coated to protect it and then get the front up and do the same.
